COURSES

Annual Post-Graduate Course

Offered from October-February every year to Cuban nationals, the course covers advanced topics in non-linear dynamics, as well as related philosophical implications. Enrollment has grown dramatically, from a total of 75 students in 2001-2002 to 215 students in 2004-2005 academic year.

Will henceforth be offered biennially -- next Annual Post-Graduate Course is scheduled for 2007-2008.

Diplomate Course

In response to the success of the post-graduate course, the Cathedra (Chair) now also offers a Diplomado (Diplomate -- intermediate-level degree between a bachelor's and master's) in Complexity Theory. 101 Students registered for the first Diplomado offered in 2005-2006.

Mini-courses
Begun in 2006, mini-courses will be offered in January on even-numbered years to an international audience. This course offers intensive, comprehensive surveys of special topics related to complexity theory.

2006 courses:
Mathematical Methods for Complex Systems Reseach
Macroevolutionary Studies in Complexity Theory

Pre-Complexity 2006 Biennial International Seminar course
